Check back often, as we have so much to share with you!

School Closure

The seven Bay Area county health officers, in collaboration with their county superintendents, have made a unified, regional decision to extend school closures and student dismissals from regular school attendance through May 1, 2020, to slow the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) to the maximum extent. We join them in stating the safety and wellness of students, school personnel, and the community are the priority.

Therefore, the Department of Catholic Schools is extending our long-term dismissal through at least May 1, 2020. This decision aligns us with the recommendation of our local health officials.

How do you Homeschool?

Thank you so much for sending us your "How do you Homeschool?" pictures! We have enjoyed receiving them. Mrs. Silva is looking forward to including as many as possible in our yearbook. Please keep the pictures coming!

Anticipated Return Date

As of today, our anticipated return to school date is April 7, 2020.

Office/Teacher Hours

Teachers and office staff are online between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a lunch break from noon to 1:00 p.m. We are also checking phone messages hourly during these times.

Tuition Questions

St. Bede Catholic School, as all other schools in the Oakland Diocese, have moved to online learning until we are able to safely return back to school. Teachers are doing their very best to present grade-level curriculum to their students so they may continue their education. The tuition agreement still applies as school is still in session and students are part of the school's learning program.

Rice Bowl

For Lent, we are participating in Operation Rice Bowl. We will give the money we collect to Catholic Relief Services, an international organization committed to empowering people to grow their own crops, start business cooperatives, provide clean water and sanitation, and initiate education projects throughout the world. We encourage you to ask your children to share about the various countries they will learn about each week through Operation Rice Bowl. There will be one collection on Friday, April 3, 2020.

Stations of the Cross

Please join us as the students lead Stations of the Cross on Fridays at 2:00 p.m. Stations of the Cross will take place in the church through Friday, April 3.

Spirit Wear Socks

Hornet socks are back in stock and are available for purchase in the office for $12 per pair. Students may wear the socks with their school uniform all year long. Go, Hornets!

Car Line Morning and Afternoon Information

We want to ensure the safety of our students at St. Bede by providing information about our car line in the mornings and afternoons. Please read the brochures carefully and follow the maps to keep our car lines running smoothly.
